Ribery: Bayern should sign Hazard

The Bayern Munich winger spoke in glowing terms about the Chelsea star, as well as revealing his appreciation of former Blue Kevin De Bruyne

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery says the Bundesliga champions should make an approach for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

In an interview with Sport Bild, the Frenchman praised former Chelsea man Kevin De Bruyne, currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga with high-flying Wolfsburg.

But he reserved special praise for Hazard, who he believes would suit Bayern more as they have fewer counterattacking opportunities than the likes of Wolfsburg and therefore much less space to operate in.

Speaking to Sport Bild, Ribery said: "[Hazard] attacks all of the time. He loves to run at his opponent. But he plays at Chelsea.

Ribery also joked that: "this could be very expensive for Bayern."

Hazard signed a new long-term contract at Chelsea in February that made him one of the club's highest earners and will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2020.
